dear friends,

this message will creep through as a long bcc-posting. the syndicate list
is down at the moment. each empty message you get means that somebody tried
to send something to the list. instead of the proper messages, we just get
the empty ones.

i have tried to contact the sys-ops at the aec and hope that the problem
can be resolved soon. until then i suggest we stop posting to the list but
save these messages until the lines are open again.

nothing else i can do at the moment.
