Narrative, Interactivity, Interactive Games LCC seeks a practitioner-theorist of New Media especially as related to interactive narrative, performance, and computer-based interactive games. (Rank open) Georgia Tech¹s School of Literature, Communication, and Culture, part of the Ivan Allen College, Georgia Tech¹s liberal arts college, offers an undergraduate major in Science, Technology, and Culture and an M.S. in Information Design and Technology. LCC participates in the university¹s interdisciplinary program Women, Science, and Technology, and an MS program in Human-Computer Interaction. Website at LCC@gatech.edu. 2. Cultural Studies of Science and Technology LCC seeks one or more individuals (rank open) with a focus on the intersections of science and humanities. One position is in American Studies, preferably 18th or 19th century, with an emphasis on one or more of the following: environmentalism, visual culture, and comparative media studies. The other position is in 17th and 18th century British or Continental literature with an emphasis on visual culture. Both positions will have responsibility for literature courses in our undergraduate major in Science, Technology and Culture, and in a proposed Ph.D. LCC is committed to broad base cultural studies and electronic pedagogy. Communications Program Director LCC seeks a composition/rhetoric specialist with expertise in electronic pedagogy, and a background in technical communication, cultural studies, or cognitive science. Candidates should have a research record appropriate to appointment as associate or full professor. The candidates chosen will provide leadership for a campus-wide program in communication including a two-semester composition sequence and an upper-level technical communication course. The Program Director will also assist in the mentoring and career development of the post-doctoral fellows who staff the program.
