Name: Rosina Moru Auren Tribe: Turkana Nationality: Kenyan Country: Uganda Age: 26-35 Occupation: Forester To all the Americans, I would like to send my condolences to all the people of america and especially those who lost loved ones in the terrible unprecedented terriorist attack. I know that all those affected would like to revenge and therefore may welcome war. This is but human and in most cases we can not help it, but to react so. I cannot claim to have any experience of war, but I have heard from those who were affected including my late mother. When I was growing up in the village in a small town (Isiolo) my mother told me of the MauMau war and how they use to live in a state of terror and alert. They were forced to abandon their homes and property and run for their live. All night they would be forced sleep in trenches they doug. The children could not play freely outside for fear of attack, they lost everything and after the war it was very hard to start living normally again. I have lived in Uganda since 1999 and I have heard alot of bad war stories experienced by Ugandan during the war. A friend once told me of the time during Obote II regim when she was a young girl. she use to go to school under the escort of her brothers as the solders were out of control, no displine and alot of young girls use to be abuse. she told me that solders could take all their valuable and some of her friend and relatives "dissapeared" to this day. The war tend to give those in power a chance and freedom to do whatever they wish on the weak and poor. On those who cause so much pain in America and elsewhere like in Kenya and Tanzania, the American government should seek them out; the individuals were directly involve in the terriorist attacks in New York and Washington, and punish THEM. The method to be used to get/hunt them done should not be war and revenge but diplomacy. America has the backing of the rest of the world to do this, by exerting pressure on countries harbouring terriorist, even if it takes years, or by use economic sunction, these countries will eventually give in and hand over whoerver was involve. I have always belived in forgiveness, I believe that those who do wrong unto others get punished one way or another on this earth. Therefore forgive them and let's seek a peaceful solution May God be with you all and help you in your search for justice. God bless.
